Elisa Varetti is an Italian illustrator and background painter with a great passion for visual storytelling. She previously worked as an architect and as a graphic designer for a marketing agency while studying Entertainment Design & Illustration at Nemo Academy. Her main focus is children's illustration for picture books, board games, and book covers. She has worked with many clients over the years, such as: Igloobooks, Little Hippo Books, Reading Planet, Faba, Book on a Tree, Bear With Us Productions. Elisa's illustrations were also featured in Annual 2023 and Annual 2022 by Autori di Immagini, Italian Illustrators’ Association. She is based in her hometown in Italy, living with her family and cat. She usually works with digital mediums, creating dynamic illustrations with a keen eye for composition and color. Her work is also influenced by Mary Blair, Eyvind Earle, and Charlie Harper. Elisa is passionate about human rights, woman’s above all, and mental health awareness. She would love to work on stories about great women in history!
