Alex Oxton

After sinking a huge chunk of their childhood into games like Starcraft and Age of Empires, Alex initially set their sights on becoming a video game concept artist, but fell in love with children’s book illustration whilst studying Illustration at the University of Lincoln. They have a passion for all things science fiction thanks to their love of video games and many all-night marathons of Doctor Who and Mystery Science Theatre 3000 as a student. Alex finds the real-world history behind these worlds fascinating and has relished bringing the achievements of historical heroes to life in their art. They now live in Brighton amongst a growing collection of modded retro games consoles, and two mischievous cats, Zira and Crowley.
