Let’s get emotional

We’ve put together a mood board based around a key trend in publishing right now. Books relating to emotions such as fear, anxiety, anger and shyness are in higher demand as conversations open up around mental wellbeing in young people during increasingly unstable times. Sensitive titles like these offer guidance to children who are without a framework to understand the intense and complicated emotions they may be feeling. When a child recognizes their emotions in the context of a storybook, it allows them to feel more confident in themselves as they can start to understand and manage their feelings.

We have two exciting book ideas up for grabs in this category! Nook is a very sweet story that explores themes of social anxiety and bullying. Happy Kids is a series of board books aimed at encouraging good self esteem, helping kids to feel brave, proud, confident and loveable!
