Perfect As You Are
Spike Maguire
Everybody in Ben’s class has a talent. Everyone except him. Or so he thinks.
Lucy is a dancer, but without Ben she would crash into a chair whilst doing her leaps. Alex is an artist, but without Ben he would slip up on all his spilt paints. Emily is a runner, but without Ben she would trip over a football. Lewis is an actor, but without Ben he would rip his costume, which is caught on a hook. Ruby is a singer, but without Ben she would get tangled up in her microphone cables.
Everybody in Ben’s class has a talent, and so does Ben, he just doesn’t realise it. But everyone else knows that Ben’s talent is caring for other people and keeping them safe.
‘Thank you Ben!’ they all cheer.
This is a simple but beautiful picture book which will help teach little ones that special talents come in all forms.
- A lovely PSHE book that teaches children to look for their own skills, rather than comparing themselves to others.
- Sweet illustrations.
