Alex Efraim was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. He has had a passion for drawing since he was a toddler. Alex went on to study visual communication design at Dian Nuswantoro University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is a versatile illustrator known for his creative approach and attention to detail. Alex mainly works digitally using programs such as Adobe Photoshop. His ability to translate client goals into visually striking illustrations is what sets his work apart.

After graduating, Alex started his career at a small illustration studio, House of Imagi, before moving on to work as a storyboard artist at Tantraz Comic Bali. Alex started freelancing in 2019 and has had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects including comics, cover art, splash art, games art, and children’s books. Alex finds inspiration in movies, games, and pop culture. Movies are one of his main sources of inspiration; creating an illustration is a lot like composing a scene in movies, with similar approaches to perspective, composition, color grading, and more!
