Welcome to the team!

20th March 2017

Thanks to all our clients, the Collaborate team has been growing!

We’ve had a non-stop 12 months, which has been great and as our workload grows, so does our team!

We’ve so far, had 3 great designers and illustrators join our team this year, so let me introduce them to you…

Kate

Kate joins us as an experienced and talented designer, having worked in the industry for over 6 years.

She’s previously worked as multidisciplinary designer, creating toys, gifts & accessories for preschool kids to adults as well as artworking, she’s also great at creative concept designs, 3D modelling, alongside branding and graphics for products and packaging.

Kate’s looking forward to concentrating on illustration and design within publishing, whilst bringing the knowledge she has in the creative industry to Collaborate.

When she’s not working, Kate loves cycling out on the South-downs. She also has a great interest in, and appreciation for,
wild life and the natural world!

Elsa

Elsa first started writing stories as a young child, when she became friends with children’s author Jacqueline Wilson, with whom she would share ideas and creations.

After graduating in 2015 with a BA in Graphic Design from Central St Martins she worked on a number of freelance illustration projects including fashion, packaging design and greetings cards, but her heart has always belonged with children books.

Her work often includes bright colours and bold line work and she loves working with unique, imaginative concepts. She is delighted to be joining the team and watching her skills develop within a creative environment.

When she is not working Elsa enjoys yoga, sci-fi books, sewing and knitting (or anything crafty) and watching movies with her cat, Kumiko.

And last, but not least…

Ben

Ben is passionate about illustration and animation and has 15 years experience working in publishing, games and ed-tech.
He’s always enjoyed tailoring his illustrative style to suit the job at hand and knows that an animation is working when it makes him chuckle.

When he isn’t drawing, Ben loves ballroom dancing, bouldering, board-gaming and barbecues, Oh! and playing the piano.
