Philomena's New Crayons

Sally Garland

Little Philomena loved her new, perfectly uniformed, unused tin of crayons. She wanted to show them to everyone but didn’t want them touched in case they became broken or used so much that they lose their pointy tip.

Worst of all she was even too nervous to use them herself as they seemed too special to waste on her rubbish drawing.

When after an unfortunate accident she loses her crayons, she thinks no one has seen her sadness or cares.

However, the next day something strange begins. Mysterious broken and used crayons in all shapes and sizes appear in all sorts of places for her to find.

A heart-warming story about how small acts of hidden kindness can add up to something quite wonderful.
