At Collaborate, we were thrilled to design and illustrate Marnie’s Medical Mysteries, a fascinating graphic nonfiction series that makes medical history accessible and exciting for young readers.

With engaging storytelling by Ruth Redford and expert insight from Dr. Nipunie Rajapakse of Mayo Clinic, this project was an incredible opportunity to combine science, history, and dynamic visuals from illustrator Jake Hill into a popular graphic novel format. Diving into the gripping history of diseases like the bubonic plague, measles, polio, and typhoid, Marnie and her AI sidekick, Glitch, take readers on a thrilling journey through the past—exploring how scientists uncovered the causes of devastating diseases and developed life-saving vaccines.
