Sophie Ledesma is an illustrator based in Nantes, France. She graduated from the Penninghen School in Paris, focusing on art direction. Sophie now works as a freelance illustrator for children’s books, greeting cards, posters, advertising, and children’s games. She created fun, playful, and colorful universes with her illustrations. Sophie is inspired by modern art, the cut papers of Matisse, great graphic designers from the last century such as Roman Cieslewicz, and the work of Tom Hungerer. She mainly illustrates with traditional pencils and colored pencils.

Former clients include IKEA, Centre Pompidou, Djeco, De la Martiniere Jeunesse, Hospital Necker, Poppik, UK Greetings, Natural Life, Papyrus, and Little Tiger.
