We’re excited to announce our latest collaboration with Chronicle Books: a brand new title for Sesame Street! Illustrator Helena Wu created original front and back cover artwork and 10 full color spreads for Sesame Street: The Momster at the End of This Book. This book is a nod to the well-loved classic The Monster at the End of This Book, and an homage to the illustrator Michael Smollin.

Helena was able to turn around exceptional Sesame Street-approved illustrations in record time, prior to print deadlines in fall 2025, in order to get the book to print by Mother’s Day 2026. She carefully studied the style guides from the licensor so she could best capture the Sesame Street cast of characters’s nostalgic 2D hand-drawn style. Helena worked closely with the art director at Sesame Street, as well as art director Ryan Hayes at Chronicle, to match each blue line drawover and note.
