The World Book Day campaign for 2024 has officially begun as the organisation reveals the fifteen £1 books to be made available for children to read at a fraction of the cost of the average book. Next year’s line-up includes reimagined classics, picture books, adventure stories, scientific exploration and graphic novels – as well as a Collaborate “Dinosaur Club” title with DK and Louise Forshaw. According to World Book Day Ltd, reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success, transcending family circumstances, parents’ educational background and household income. This is why the charity aims to give all children the opportunity to own their own book, helping young readers to discover a lifetime love of reading.
