At Collaborate we’re no stranger to books on puberty, and as awkward as the whole topic might seem, we have a whole lot of fun making them! Period. was no exception. As a four colour graphic novel, the book uses character and dialogue to feel more like a conversation than an instruction manual. With inclusivity of great importance, we included characters representative of a diverse range of genders, ethnicities and body types to underpin the message that no two bodies are the same. Created in collaboration with Mayo Clinic, expert advice is delivered in an entertaining and informative way to guide young people through this stage of growing up, and help them to have some fun doing so!
