Hi, I’m Elisa Venturini. I grew up in Livorno, right on the Tuscan coast, and I still live here, which means the sea is never too far away when I need to refill my creative batteries. I work with digital media, but I still have a soft spot for pencils and paper when it comes to rough sketches. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me reading or drawing fanart just for fun, two wonderfully nerdy habits I’ve happily carried with me since childhood.

My artistic path started early, complete with a few “best drawing” awards as a child, which felt very fancy at the time and honestly still do. I attended an art-focused high school, specializing in architecture and technical drawing, and later studied animation and character design as part of my secondary education, while illustration grew as a passion I cultivated on my own. I’ve taken part in school organized exhibitions and worked on published illustrated books, including a couple of recent favorites that were especially fun because they were colorful and had die-cuts. Clients often tell me they enjoy the humorous touches I slip into my illustrations, and I think my colorful, joyful style fits children’s stories particularly well.A lot of my imagination was shaped by Disney movies I loved as a child, especially The Lion King, Robin Hood, and The Sword in the Stone. These days, inspiration can come from just about anything: another artist’s work, a funny-looking bird, or a stranger with particularly unforgettable clothes. When I’m developing ideas, I like to do character studies, research, hand-drawn roughs, and color palette explorations before everything clicks into place. And when I’m not drawing, one of my favorite things is taking long, relaxing walks by the seaside. No kids, no pets yet, but I am patiently waiting for the cat distribution system to do its thing.
